Dr. Lokesh Shekher Jaiswal pursued his medical education (M.B.B.S) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), India. Having completed MS in General Surgery from Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, he specialized with an M.Ch Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) from AIIMS. After having served i medical profession for 8 years in different facilities in India and Nepal, he is currently engaged with BPKIHS, Dharan as an Associate Professor. He is the first doctor to successfully conduct an Open Heart Surgery outside of Kathmandu and has established a Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Unit at BPKIHS to continue with his practice. He is also a part of Koshish Nepal Foundation which works towards providing equitable health to the people.
